Terms & Condition
1 Privacy Policy
WISE EducationConsultancy value, respect and treat both our client’s, tutor’s and coaches’ personal information provided to us with utmost confidentiality. WISE Education Consultancy will not sell or share personal information of yours to anyone except when necessary in providing the services to the persons described below:
a) “Client”
A client is a person who makes a request for a tutor/coach with WISE Education Consultancy.
The information provided by the client with regards to the lesson and or coaching information (location, subject, session, frequency, areas of personal growth and other requirements excluding personal information) may be broadcasted to tutors/coaches to fulfil the search.
Only after the lessons has been confirmed with a tutor/coach who has accepted the job will WISE Education Consultancy reveal the full information and contact number of the client.
b) “Tutor/Coach”
A tutor/coach is a person who registers with WISE Education Consultancy for lesson/coaching jobs.
The general information relevant to the jobs such as tutor/coach qualifications, gender, experience and other information may be revealed to clients to facilitate the selection process. Personal information such as tutor’s/coach’s contact number, full name of NRIC will not be revealed to clients until the job is confirmed.
c) Protection from Online Information
Being a online platform, WISE Education Consultancy will collect personal information when a client or tutor/coach registers with us. WISE Education Consultancy may receive and record information on our server logs including the pages web-surfers visited and the times pages were visited. This information may be used for research or to improve the user's experience and will not be disclosed to public.
d) Legal Disclaimer
In the event whereby a legal authority requires WISE Education Consultancy to disclose personal information, or any organisation requesting the disclosure of personal information on a legal basis, WISE Education Consultancy will comply.
e) Changes Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy may be updated or changed without prior notice
2 Consent on Collection, Usage & Disclosure of Personal Data
By registering as a client, tutor/coach with WISE Education and Coaching via our request form and or other communication platform you agree that WISE may collect, use and disclose your personal data obtained by our organisation for the following purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012
a) Client
i) to be contacted via any messaging platform or phone call regarding your request to be utilised in the administrative process of a tutor/coach search
ii) to be provided to the respective tutor/coach upon confirmation of a job
iii) to receive education-related marketing messages via e-mall or messaging platforms (not limited to SMS/WhatsApp/Telegram)
b) Tutor/Coach
i) to receive available contractual lessons via any mode of telecommunication (not limited to WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram, Email)
ii) to be provided to the respective client upon confirmation of a lesson/coaching session
iii) to receive tutor/coach-related marketing messages via e-mail or messaging platforms (not limited to WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram, Email)

3 Registration of Tutor/Coach
All tutors/coaches registering with WISE Education Consultancy have to be a minimum of 18 years old and have passed their GCE “A” Levels or equivalent academic qualification.
4 Qualifications and Authentication of Documents
a) Client
Clients reserve the right to request for the Educational Certifications of our tutors/coaches to authenticate the qualifications and credibility of the tutor/coach. WISE Education Consultancy will request these documents on the client's behalf and forward them to the client should the tutor/coach be agreeable to sharing their personal documents.
Rest assured that WISE Education Consultancy has its own internal systems of vetting and filtering which eliminates most of these cases of falsehoods. Tutors/Coaches who provide dishonest information are very rare. In view of the large database, it is administratively not possible for an agency to verify each piece of information provided by tutors/coaches in their profile. Nevertheless, we have our own internal systems in place to conduct the necessary due diligence to our best effort. WISE Education Consultancy is not liable for falsehoods or untruths deliberately provided by tutors/coaches in their applications.
b) Tutor/Coach
All tutors/coaches are required to provide accurate information on academic certifications and personal particulars. In the case whereby a client has discovered a fraud tutor/coach please inform WISE Education Consultancy immediately and we will assist you in making a police report regarding the fraud. Clients reserve the right to request for these certifications to be presented for verification at any point of time. Tutors/Coaches who attempt to deceive clients with fake qualifications and certifications will be reported to the Police.
5 Commitment, Code of Ethics and Conduct of Tutors/Coaches
Once confirmation has been received from the tutor/coach via any form of communication (SMS, Whatsapp, Email, Phonecall), the tutor/coach is expected to complete at least 4 lesson.
Unless otherwise stated, tutors/coaches are expected to commit to the agreed contract for a long-term basis. (a general guideline of at least 3 months)
All tutors/coaches should conduct themselves appropriately in a professional and ethical manner. If the conduct of the tutor/coach is deemed as unsatisfactory, immediate action will be taken to terminate current and future contracts.
Here is a list of general guidelines during lessons / coaching sessions:
a) Tutors/Coaches are expected to keep to the agreed rates and timeslots fixed. Any changes are to be mutually agreed by the client. If a change of timing is required, please kindly provide at 3 working days of notice. In the case that this is not possible for example due to a sudden sickness, an MC may be requested from the client for accountability purposes.
b) Tutors/Coaches are strictly expected to conduct lessons/sessions in their own capacity and not send any form of representative or substitute personnel on behalf of him/her
c) Tutors/Coaches are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner throughout the tenure of the contract and to observe and respect the house rules of the client Tutors/Coaches are expected to communicate regularly with parents about the progress of the student
d) Tutor/Coaches would need to teach for at least four lessons or a penalty of one month of lesson fee will be charged and or forfeited unless Parents/Students initiate the termination of future lessons no penalty will be charged. Tutors/Coaches are expected to commit to the contacts for a longterm basis. This will be based on the general guideline of at least 3 months.
e) Tutors are not allowed to arrange or enter into any private agreements with the parents/students introduced by the Company without Company acknowledgment. Any undercut done by tutors or parents/students, tutor will face penalty depending on the severity of case by case basis the Company will consider taking legal action and or blacklisted the tutor.
f) If there are any additional lessons to be added during the first month like tutoring student’s siblings or addition of subjects, this is to be made known to WISE Education Consultancy and will also be due for commission.
g) Tutors/Coaches are expected to be aware and agreeable to conduct the sessions at the locations stipulated by the clients and have done the necessary considerations such as transport planning before accepting the job. Tutors/Coaches are expected to practice punctuality and not to short-change any timing of the lessons/sessions.
h) Tutors/Coaches are prohibited from any physical or verbal abuse to students or parents. This will not be tolerated in any instances
i) If tutor wish to terminate the agreed contract, it is advisable for tutor to inform the Company’s tutor facilitator and give at least two weeks notice.
j) Tutor is not allowed to continue teaching the same student whom he has terminated for a period of six months and not allowed to introduce his friends or anyone else to teach the students whom he had terminated for a period of six months.
k) Should tutor be founds breaking the above clause legal action will be taken by the Company
Any breach of these terms without a valid reason will result in a permanent mark on our records, and if necessary, a complete blacklist from all of WISE Education Consultancy platforms.
6 Lesson Rates / Confirmation Note, Payment & Commission
The lesson/coaching rates agreed on should not be changed after confirmation. Nevertheless, if student has advanced in his academic level the tutor/coach, subsequent rates will increase and the tutor/coach may do so to informed the company.
Confirmation note will be sent upon the successful contractual agreement between client and tutor/coach. Upon receiving confirmation note via Whatsapp/SMS/Email for both client and tutor/coach it would indicate that both parties have accepted the terms and conditions of the company that the engagement is formalised.
a) Client
WISE Education Consultancy matching services are fully free-of-charge for clients as commission fees are levied upon the tutor/coach.
Upon completion of the first 3 lessons and or less within calendar month fees payable to WISE Education Consultancy fees will be on a pro rata basis. Thereafter, invoice will be issue to clients for subsequent payments based on calendar month. The amount may be paid via Bank Transfer, UEN, PayNow or PayLah. The payment made within the first month includes commission levied upon the tutor/coach by WISE Education Consultancy.
All lessons conducted are payable with no exceptions (including the first lesson).
Any additional Education services such as an additional subject or teaching of the student's siblings/coachee’s referrals must be disclosed to WISE EducationConsultancy and will also be liable for commission. This commission will similarly be charged to the tutor/coach.
In the case of an extreme short-term contract (4 or less sessions), a client may agree to bear the commission on behalf the tutor/coach to increase the chances of success for a suitable tutor/coach. Do kindly note that this arrangement is non-exchangeable with the usual case (whereby the tutor/coach bears the commission). If the client decides to take more than the agreed number of sessions, the commission will not be transferred to the tutor/coach.
b) Tutor/Coach
WISE Education Consultancy collects a one-time commission of the two-lessons fee from its tutor/coach when tutor/coach has completed the first two lessons. The commission levied on the tutor will be collected directly from the client. There will be no further action on the tutor’s/coach’s part. Waiver of commission fee is subjected to approval by the management.
As tutor/coach is registered with WISE Education Consultancy Pte Ltd, WISE Education has the responsibility to collect future payments as a form of service for the client on behalf of the tutor/coach. Tutor shall not receive any payment from the parents / student at ALL times. There is no change in the fees agreed between the tutor and WISE Education.
If there are any additional Education services to be added during the first month like Education for student’s siblings or addition of subjects, this is to be made known to WISE Education Consultancy and will also be due for commission.
In the event whereby the client is unwilling or unable to transfer WISE Education Consultancy the fees we will require tutor/coach to collect it on our behalf and make the transfer to WISE Education Consultancy at the soonest time possible. After the first lesson, the tutor/coach may make arrangement directly with the client for subsequent lessons/sessions and update the facilitator in charge the total number of lessons conducted per calendar month for subsequent payment.
Fees payable to the tutor will be credited into the designated bank account by the Company on the 15th or 30th each month (Payment will be out the next working day if 15th or 30th falls on a sunday or public holiday) depending on when the lesson finishes and the payment made by the student / parents.
Tutor is required to inform the Company’s accounts once the tutor has finished four or five lessons based on calendar month to expedite the salary payment.
7 Late Payment Charges
WISE Education Consultancy reserves the right to impose a late-payment fee for overdue fees of one month or more.
The late-payment fees of 50% of the two lessons fee per every two weeks (14 days) of overdue payment after the first month of grace period will be charged
WISE Education Consultancy also reserves the right to file with the Small Claims Tribunal or take legal action for any debt deemed necessary. As a general guide-line, WISE Education Consultancy will file with the Small Claims Tribunal if the sum is not received within three months of payment but may also choose to do so at an earlier date if the debt is deemed to be unrecoverable without legal means. The late payment charges will continue to be imposed for every two weeks of no payment till the final order of the court is given.
8 Last Minute Cancellations & Postponement of Lessons
a) Client
In the case whereby the client is unsatisfied or uncomfortable with the tutor/coach arranged within the first four lessons, the client may request for a change in tutor/coach at any time after the first conducted lesson/session.
The client is only required to pay for the number of lessons conducted and no further fees incurred. The general guideline would be to have a commitment period of one month before deciding whether the lessons are deemed suitable/unsuitable for the student/coachee
WISE Education Consultancy understands that cancellations could occur due to lastminute emergencies and these will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If a postponement or cancellation of the first lesson is required, the client is required to inform WISE EducationConsultancy or the tutor/coach at least 3 hours in advance. If this condition is not met, clients are liable to pay 50% of the first lesson fees in compensation of the tutor's/coach’s time and transport costs as well as the service rendered by WISE Education Consultancy.
If client cancels in less than 2 hours before the designated lesson time clients will be liable to paying 100% of the fees. On subsequent lessons and beyond on last-minute cancellations, the tutor/coach is to make known to the client on cancellation policies beforehand and a 100% of the lesson fee will be billed to the clients by the WISE Education Consultancy since the company is collecting the monthly fees on behalf of the tutors/coaches.
In the extreme and rare case of a cancellation of the lesson by the tutor/coach, due to personal reasons/mis-matches/medical reasons...etc clients are still liable to pay for the lessons/sessions carried out. WISE Education Consultancy will consider these reasons on a case-by-case basis to determine if full payment by the client for the lessons/lessons conducted are required.
For any cancellations by the client before completion of four lessons, WISE Education Consultancy will split 50% of the fees paid with the tutor/coach. Client is required to pay WISE Education Consultancy for the number of lessons carried out.
b) Tutor/Coach
If tutors/coaches are unable to fulfill the agreed contract due to the special reasons or circumstances, tutors/coaches are required to inform WISE Education Consultancy to avoid any misunderstanding and prevent being blacklisted for future contracts. If a postponement a lesson after confirmation is necessary due to valid reason such as MC, the tutor/coach is required to inform the WISE Education and Coaching two days in advance and produced the MC to the client. Tutors/Coaches are allowed to reschedule lessons/sessions only if there is a mutual agreement with the client.
The client is entitled to request for a change in tutor/coach at any point of time. In such a scenario when lesson is cancelled and or changed of tutor within the first four weeks by the client, tutor will only collect 50% of the fees involved.
Scenarios whereby the tutor/coach will not be entitled to their share of 50% of the fees, including but not limited to the following:
1. Cancellation of confirmed job from tutor/coach end
2. Failure to carry out the lesson to a reasonable standard
3. Falsehood or inaccurate information provided in tutoring/coaching profile
4. Unable to provide supporting documents for information listed in tutoring/coaching profile (E.g. Academic Certs)
WISE Education Consultancy will look at the facts & circumstances surrounding each particular case in a detailed manner, considering the interests of all parties involved. As the coordinating agency, WISE Education Consultancy reserves the right to make the final decision on the outcome of the case at hand
Irresponsible behaviour of last-minute cancellation and or no show without valid reason will be strike off from our tutor list.
9 Collusion & Fraud
Any attempts to avoid the commission payable to WISE Education Consultancy (in any form) is considered an illegal act. Our company strictly does not tolerate such fraudulent and unethical actions. A police report will be made immediately without hesitation and civil actions will be commenced to recover the lost monies from the fraudulent actions.
10 Disclaimer
WISE Education Consultancy reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
